I have decided to focus on my art and move away from breeding and canine nutrition for the general public. My Art is, The Painted Egg side of our business. It is really where my passion and my gifting lies.
I dream about art and think about it everyday. Years ago, I told someone that if I couldn’t paint for some unknown reason, I would not be able to breathe. Art is my friend, and a blank canvas, board, paper, etc., is calling out to me so I need to answer. The blankness has a heart beat- it’s not an inanimate object. At least not where I’m concerned.
❤️ This past May, four days after Mother’s Day, my beautiful daughter of 39 years was tragically taken from this world.
My immediate family, Gil and Lenox-Mae, were/are such a refuge for my pain (like nothing I could have imagined). I’m so blessed to have them in my life.
My art comforts me, very similarly to my canine family members.
Again, I’m still healing and need to take time to mourn and heal through my art. No one can say when the grieving process will end, but I plan to make sure I’m focusing on my emotional needs so I can help others in the future.
Thank you for understanding,
Gabriella Reid from The Painted Egg
