For those of you that procured a bordoodle from us and have emailed, texted or called me regarding the mulch, rock, bark eating, I’ve got the answer - it’s the Poodle gene. How do I know this? We added an AKC male poodle to our farm family and he frustrates me to no end 😊 by crunching and munching and snacking on all of the above that I mentioned, and so much more. None of our BC’s do this (not as obsessively), and it was a mystery, but the traits I’ve witnessed in our handsome poodle puppy has educated me, and I’ll continue to research their common traits and learn their (poodle) behavior to better understand the breed and to improve and shape our ethical breeding program.
