Border Collie Seeking New Family

This 7 year old Border Collie (female), that goes by Lady Lou, is seeking a new life preferably with a single person, or retired couple/individual that will love and give her the attention that she deserves.

She is being fostered by a wonderful, loving young couple that took her in a year ago. She was surrendered by her 1st owner due to Lady not demonstrating herding abilities, and her first owner may have handled her a bit rough, due to some behavioral issues which do not include aggression, this is an unfortunate common practice with many individuals that believe you need to be harsh in order to develop a border collie’s herding traits or use "training" methods that are not humane i.e., e-collars. This is NOT okay. Her 2nd owner had her for 5 years and couldn’t keep Lady any longer due to some unforeseen personal circumstances, hence her foster home makes 3. Her foster mom (Abigail) is asking $100 rehoming fee.

Lady is black and white, and submissive, but doesn’t get along well with cats, or children. However, she does love adults and needs a stable life. Lady is 7 years old; the first half of her life has been a struggle. Let’s help Lady find a home where she can play, with a yard she can run around in, and grow old with a person who understands her and won’t expect anything from her but to love and enjoy what Lady can offer a human, and to love her back to the end.

Dogs don’t ask much from us, but to be fed, allowed to play, run around, and on occasion, to be a tad mischievous.
